Its florida so I wont need it. But I'm going to keep it in there just open so I keep the velocity higher to save the waterpump a little bit... input?

It doesn't sound like he thinks there is an actual problem .... the car is just overheating b/c it's not getting enough airflow. Is that correct Geo? I'd cut out the extra materail you are talking about and drive it around a bit here in PA and see what it does. If you are still having overheating problems I'd start by replacing the thermostat housing. Good chance something is shot in there. If that doesn't fix it you're going to have to take a look at your water pump which means you'll have to rip it apart pretty good since it's on the timing belt. Are you running any kinda aftermarket radiator on that thing? If you can't figure it out I would NOT drive the car to FL. You'll cook the motor by MD on I95.

No I didnt drive it down yet... Heres the thing I just replaced the waterpump the only thing is i dont have an aftermarket rad yet. I don't really have the money and I've decided that its not going to move there unless its towed down. Only other way is if i get a koyo or fluidine rad. I really did open it up a lot with cutting the bumper
