ok my clutch is about ready to go, i'm pretty sure of that cause it slips alot. so i know i'm gonna need a new clutch. anyway 4th gear is the only gear giving me trouble. to get it to go in it feels like i have to ram it in and have the clutch totally all the way to the floor. if i try to shift normal to 4th it just wont' go at all. anyway is this just my clutch or is it more likey my trans. like a synchro or something. thanks guys

It could be a combination of both. Typically when you have problems going into gear like that, it is the synchro. However, if you have to put the clutch to the floor to get it to engage, that could be just the clutch. Also look for symptoms of crankwalk in there. 1997 was one of the worst years for it.
