So right now this guy around me is selling a 90' Laser turbo. He said its got a "broke rod." Price: $350. So. what do you guys think, is it worth it? How much would that cost to be repaired, and could i do it or would i have to rip the whole motor out of the car? Anyways any input would be nice. tia.

Totally worth it. My 90 Laser turbo was $500 with a "broke valve". I love it.. driving it constantly now.

Just pick up a rebuild kit and shortblock soon for about $1500 total so it doesn't have sit in the garage too long.

I'm not really lookin to be spending that kind of money on this. I have my own 2gnt to be worrying about spending the money on. I just want a 2nd car to drive so i dont destroy mine any more. I was hoping i could just rip apart the motor and replace whatever he blew up.

If worse comes to worse, buy it and part it out. Im sure you can at least quadruple your money.
