False knock can come from many places but usuall it comes from the noisy lifters that create a sound similar to knock in the cylinder.

How are you monitoring knock by the way? Pocketlogger? DSMLink? Aftermarket chip that puts it on a stock gauge?

Let us know amap so we can better figure out if it's phantom knock or real knock that is trying to destroy your pistons.

It's running again shitheads.

its been noticed with both a pocket logger and with my knock light i have wired up in car.. if i take the car all the way to redline and dont let the wastegate open... she doesnt knock... but if that wastegate opens.. knock light flashes and pulses. and it spikes on the logger

Most of the time "phantom" or "false" knock occurs at low rpms, 2500-4500 and under low throttle. If it is showing knock at high rpms and only when the wastegate is open, that sounds like actual knock.

Your knock sensor is probably on it's way out and overly sensitive. Try replacing it.
