Are you able to keep the fog lights with the 2-216?

Anyway, if you were to part it out I'd be interested in at least 5 of those items.. you can PM me if you decide to part it out.

I'd have to agree with Remy and BigBald on this one. Selling a moderately modded car these days is a bitch.

Agreed. A part out would get more money in your situation. Second, selling it in stock form and part out aftermarket parts. Last, get it all out in one motion.

FYI: I can't find a 2g part out, if my life depended on it. If you part out, which I pray you are, I have money waiting for your sway bar end links.

You should be able to get $10K for it, but it probably wont sell quickly. To move it faster you should hang out at local night spots and get the word out.

If you do part out the mods then I want the DSM Link and full exhaust.

Let me guess....... You want to build a better road racer project. Maybe something like a 240SX with a V8, or better yet a RX7 with a LS1? That's what I'd do.

I do want to make a better road racing project...and it happens to be an '03 mustang SVT cobra. 390hp stock. Very easily modified and reseptive to modifications. I'm torn because I'm so close to finishing my 2.3L rebuild.

I'm just not nearly as happy with this car as the other one. It doesn't have all the little touches to it that make it mine, but too many little touches from someone else that screams, not mine.

I totally understand. I prefer to buy an unmodded car, or at least very mildly modded, so I can make it my own.
An '03 Cobra would be a wonderful project, though expensive as hell. I think you should do it, you'll love it!

Jesus, Dan.

You are like the bi-polar DSMer. When you like it, you really like it, but when you don't?

I bet you could sell a lot of your parts on DSM_SW and save on shipping, but it's always hit or miss with selling parts.

Finish it up and go eat a modded Cobra for breakfast. You're going to be spending so much money to get an 03 Cobra and make it as fast as the DSM. Your setup can easily put you over 600WHP. Take that plus AWD and I just don't get it .

Did you buy your other one brand new? Didn't think so. Make it yours. You'll have a good example of that from me in about a month from now...

The SVT I'm looking at isn't exactly stock either. It has 4 mods. 1) Borla Exhaust 2)Ported Cobra-R Throttle Body, 3) Smaller Supercharger pulley 4) Diablo Programmable computer chip. 490 RWHP. That is easy, close to stock, and I don't have to spend another dime on it. This car is far from finished and for the extra $16K I have to spend to get the Cobra, i might finish out ahead in the long run.

I'm definitely partial to DSMs, but I'd take that cobra in a second. Also, it really does sound like a better investment.

Definately not something I would do, but you're not me. "Don't have to spend another dime on it", yeah right, we all know how that goes. Your GSX will still be faster than the 490WHP Cobra and still have traction whenever you want it. But, it's your life, get the Muffstain if you think it suits you better

Have no fear. Project X^2 is back on track. My accident won't even let me think about getting the Stang...insurance is an ass-raper for another 4.5 years.

I guess I'll just have to live with a 500+ hp AWD 4-banger.

I like your car and look forward to seeing the 2.3L done. 03 Cobra would be sweet though. I agree it's nice to start w/ more power so you don't have to mod as much. That's why I got the VR4. Problem is parts cost so much for it and it's hard to stay stock for long. The Cobra parts wouldn't be as bad though.

Same here.

Like I said, Dan, the Cobra would make you just another guy with some bolt ons installed on his Mustang. Sure, it makes a lot of power, but you've invested so much time and energy into the Phoenix that it would be a shame to give up now. You're at the top of the game. All you have left to do is iron out all those litle wrinkles here and there.

2G DSMs are sexy cars, but the sexiest thing about them is what's on the inside.
