(First off, sorry for the large pictures. I used photobucket for the first time and they must have some large settings. Oops).
OK, so it did not look good:
I tried to get her to fit but the 2 studs on the head were getting in the way. Oddly enough there was no problem with clearance at the firewall, it was the heater hoses and other wire management that I had to get by. So I took one stud off the head with the double nut treatment;
and I was able to get her in;
Looks kinda funny all flat and shit! Don't worry about all the wires and hoses. I know I will need to manage those once it gets all back together. But as you can see it gets tight by the throttle body area.
So on goes the MP60mm;
That's gonna get messy and tight. Let's take a look at the intake area;
Yup that's tight and low. And that's with a 1/2 size Integra battery. So I took a look at it with my larger pipe ram air and my smaller AEM intake.
RAM AIR
AEM INTAKE (I know it's 90* off)
The larger intake (which I have to use) just won't make that area. You can see if I use the smaller pipe AEM, then it will fit.
So I will need to relocate my battery (I'm going to put it up front where my old stock airbox used to be).
As for the throttle cable, pretty simple and straight forward;
You can see that it reaches fine, and all I have to do is mark it, drill it and tap it. Very straight forward (did not do this yet because I don't have the tap and drill bit on me). But no problem there.
Now for the Coup de Gras. The injectors and rail. Think about what a pain in the ass it is to change these out with the C-shaped stocker. Not too much fun. BUT, with this intake, here's how I put the rail on;
TA DA! It's almost worth it for just this access. You can see at the top of the pic that I left the ratchet in place where the socket just goes straight through. Ahhhh, the ease of installation
Now this was just a fitment install. I haven't done a complete install yet. As a matter of fact, I put the OBX back on after I put the 450's in it. I will be taking that set-up to the dyno with my next "goody" installed first. That will be thanks to Mark P.
