Hey guys, im really sick of working at the restaurant i work at now and i'd like a lil more money anyway..and since im always at my house busy doin school work it'd be nice to work outta my house, so i thought of making an online business...i could prob put about 1-4 hours into it if i needed everyday, depending on the school work load...has anybody started an online business and would like to help me out?..im gonna order a book about it to read up on, but hearing it from a successful person thats not trying 2 sell me something is always better lol. i've gone through a few ideas and the 2 biggest (what i think would sell the best)i've come up with so far are 1)a website that sells stuff guys could buy for their girlfriends...and 2)anything portable (portable dvd players, boom-box's, portable cd players, mp3 players, as well as non electrical stuff)....whats every1 think?

I was thinking the same thing, except I was going to cut hair over the internet.
j/p, it is a good idea but take conceptillusion.com for example(sorry shawn) they have awesoem prices but their customer service blows along with their quality controle. The hard thing about a business isant what to sell or how to sell it, if you offer it at a good price people will buy it plain and simple but its going to be your customer support and the supply and demand. Rember even though its over the net your going to have a problem that every other retail business is going to have. Personally I wouldn't even make my own site just get a store site on ebay and sell electronics. That way you wont have to pay for a domain name and most sales on ebay are final.

yea i see your point, except that with CI, alot of the problems they have, they create on their own. like the bored out throttle bodies that arent bored out correctly or the poorly put together turbo systems..but yea doin a lil somethin on ebay sounds pretty good, i was actually gonna do ebay + a store...and yea i was thinking about sports 2, so thanks
edit - all i know is that i know somewhere out there is an easier way 2 make some extra cash than workin in a restaurant serving people who have no respect for anything in life and who complain about the stupidest crap u could ever think of..lol, its really opened my eyes to how pathetic people in this world could be tho

if you want an easy way to make cash then try betting at a casino or doing some sort of an autosurf thing like www.12dailypro.com cause with an online business you wont be making money at first. remember, you have to supply all of your inventory so you will have even less money than you currently have just to get yourself off of the ground and then you will have to hope that you have a somewhat loyal customer base that will even purchase your products for your asking price so that you can at the very least break even or make a little bit of profit.

thats why they have dropshipping...you make less profit but it costs pretty much nothing to start. im in the process of looking for a "real" drop shipper now actually, because 95% are fake

My friend and I had an impossible time finding a decent drop shipper when we tried to start up our own forum/online import store. We eventually just gave up on the store and worked on the forum...which ended up getting scrapped too. good luck to ya though

You're better off working at a diner, trust me. Sounds like you have some time on your hands, perhaps look into what your getting into. Your better off selling avon to housewives.
