My goal is to take onramps at 70mph with no problems. What tires should I get that arent too expensive, have good wear, and are decent in bad weather (if such a tire exists). Thank You.

if they have to perform in the snow, I'd look at BF goodrich VR4s, they are all season, don't wear out fast, and should handle well. If they don't have to work in the snow, I like the michelin pilot sx-gt tires I have, but there are plenty of tires to choose from for performance, and most choices will be very good.
Some people really like yokohama or nittos, but I have no personal experience with them, they are defenitely worth looking into.

Depends on wheel and tire size. If you want to handle that fast I'd say do suome suspension mods strut bars etc and go to a larger wheel. When I up grade to 17" rims I'm going to wrap em in 225/45ZR-17 Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D2

Im currently rolling on a set of yoko parada's. Decided to give them a try when i got my 18's. They are pretty well priced and so far haven't had much to bitch about cept they do make a little road noise because of the aggresive tread design but thats about it.

I have Kumho tires and I love them! A couple of my friends have them and like them as well. They are fairly inexpensive and have excellent wet traction. One of my friends had Nitto 455's before the Kumhos. He said he would never buy Nitto tires again (except for maybe their drag radials). They are an excellent tire. I got mine from tire rack. You won't be dissapointed!

I have heard nothing but compliments about these tires. They are definitely the best bang for the buck in tires. I don't have them on my car but I will for sure when those sh!tty stock Goodyear tires wear out. My friend who has an Impreza 2.5RS has those tires and he said a lot of members on impreza-club chose Kumho and they are very happy with them.
They cost like $72 for 205/55/16, good threadwear(340), and a pretty cool looking thread pattern.

i live in central ohio... sometimes gets bad snow. Thanks for all of your advice. i think im going to have to stick with 16" 205 width since i cant afford a new set of rims, and my OZ's are still a little narrow... unless i can get my mom to get me a set Thanks.

my friend has a set of dunlop Sp5000's, and says they're great on his 87 GTA. He likes them better than the pirelli SS7000 he just had. Any opinions on these?

225/50ZR16 on 16x7.5 rims. I have had them almost a year and put 15K miles them. I think I will get about 30K on them before they need to be changed out. I drive them really hard and have AutoX on them, even in the rain. discounttiredirect.com sells them fairly cheap. You might even be able to get them cheaper through carparts.com with the right coupon. There aren't any magicical tires out there that do everything outstanding. BTW: the SP8000 tires are outstanding in the dry(traction) and wet conditions. The sidewalls are pretty stiff and should last 30K miles...$85 each plus shipping. If you get a hard compound tire(longer tread life) they tend not to grip that well in the dry or wet conditions....IMHO I also have two friends that have these on their cars. 97GST, 90AWD Talon(205/55ZR16)They think they are great and they have had every performance tire you can think of.
