It's for testing your MegaSquirt ECU. It's not completely necessary if you buy a pre-built ECU, but you'll want one if you're building your ECU from scratch or modifying it.
Also, you should know that even though DIYAutoTune is a great company, their MegaSquirt ECU's aren't configured for these cars. Google "420a megasquirt" for a listing of companies that sell 420A-configured MegaSquirt ECU's.

Now that helps haha. I was able to pick up a vortech fmu with a calibration kit with all the plates for fifty bucks, gonna try that around first before I invest 500 bucks into a msns. I can always sell the fmu for more haha.
