yes, all it does is dispell hot trash gasses and blowby back into your intake tract for emissions crap. i removed my hose, got a filter to on on the barb comming out of the VC, and just found a rubber cap to go over the barb on my intake. while your at it, if you can get away with it (dont have to do the sniffer) remove your EGR system, this again routes hot exhaust gasses, carbon, and oil back into your intake manifold. youll see its the hard pipe that attatches to the back of the intake manifold, just to the left of the TB. take off your intake mani and plenium and youll see how much this thing sucks. i took me 3 cans of carb cleaner to clean all the muck outta my manifold. i removed mine, blocked everything off with plates and havent looked back since. not only do you no longer have trash blowing into your intake, but your charge temps are much much cooler now that exhaust isnt being routed...nixing your CAI.
and yes, our cars get kidna crappy gas mielage, since we run so rich...that and our cars are heavy as fuck for the size that we are. its somethig youll just have to live to learn with for the most part ----------------------------------------- 2011 Nissan Xterra Pro-4x
