#28973, "yet another stratus drive gear post"

I was wondering, since changing the gears takes some off top end performance, what if you replaced the drive gear with the stratus one, and left the one marked, driven gear stock? Would you have acceleration and stock like top end, or would it just suck? Just curious. How much would the stratus one take off on top end anyhow?

parts approx 125 bucks
labor approx 1.5 hrs.
It might be hard to find a place that will do this mod though, and if you do you wont get a warranty on their work which would scare me, thats why I do everything to my car myself

Where can I get the gears from?
And could you explain how to hook up the tranny cooler? Is there a write up or vfaq anywhere?
