When changing your timing belt be sure to check the timing belt tensioner, it may be faulty and it my be what caused your belt to break in the first place. I checked mine and it had crud and burned on oil and goo built up inside the bearing race. I discovered pieces of it missing and even one of the ball bearings gone. Luckily I checked it or I would have ended up putting it on the car again and causing the very thing I was trying to prevent- a broken belt.
