#138371, "ASD bypass- ECU pinout"

Ok so I'm having a issue with spark, coil is new, plugs are new, wires check good on DMM, when I unplug and re plug the ECU in I can hear and feel the ASD click, I am not getting 12v to the coil(middle wire) and I am getting intermittent pulse on the test light when cranking.(black & blue wire)When I go to check for continuity from coil plug to ECU connector I get multiple continuity points. According to the 95 ECU pin-out and wire diagram on this sight I should have continuity at 21 and 41 which I do, I also have it at pin-out 1 which is according to the PDF my alternator wire, which is clearly light brown and the same color as my outside(closest to the front of car)pin on the coil connector. What I'm wanting to do is by-pass the ASD to see if it that or the ECU (which was replaced about 6 months ago (used) Also new crank and cam sensors.

The fact that the ASD and fuel pump relays cycle shows your PCM can turn them on. Bypassing them won't solve any problems as the PCM still won't cycle the ground to the coil pack if it doesn't see proper cam/crank sync. With the 95's (at least the Neons, I believe the programming is the same for the 420a dsms), you can unplug the cam sensor and it'll run after cranking for about 8-10 seconds IF THE CAM SENSOR WAS THE PROBLEM.

If you still have the old style (plastic) crank sensor with the round pins, those liked to fail and break off in the block when trying to remove them. Odds are your crank sensor is bad, but it can still work partially while cranking, so the PCM will cycle the ASD/fuel pump relays on/off when it sees a good signal during revolution. Only way to verify for sure is with an oscilliscope and a copy of a known good waveform, or shotgunning a new sensor in of course.

I have already replaced the crank and cam sensor and coil..
