Well, I finally got to start working on my '99 Eclipse, after having it sit since September. Towed it to my buddy's shop so I could have it under a roof.

I have to say, I love finally getting a southern car. No rust, no rot... unlike my poor '95.

When the boxes from Rock Auto came in, it felt like Christmas. lol. Spent just a bit over a grand for all my control arms, brakes, hubs, belts, timing belt kit, O2 sensor, door handles, heater hoses, and I forgot what else. Not too shabby!

Now for the bad news. After I drained the coolant, I found a bit of oily residue. Not bad, but enough for me to start getting everything together for a headgasket job. Mopar headgasket, Felpro gasket kit for everything else I need, copper spray, and ARP studs.

I'll be working on my car in between work and school, so I'll be updating this whenever time permits. I really hope she'll be ready this year for the Shootout.

Nice looking OZ, man! I love these cars. Just make sure to keep a thick coat of wax over that kapalana black paint. Oxidation can come quickly (I should know).

You're project reminds me of mine, you should check out my "build" thread over on DSMtuners.

Well, almost got my passenger side window fixed. It never rolled up straight, so I thought the regulator completely was messed up. After I took everything apart, I found the nut closest to the handle that holds the window on the regulator was completely gone. On top of that, two bolts were missing that bolt the regulator to the door. After fixing these minor issues, I got the window going up straight, but the window wouldn't allow the door to close properly. Found the little white hook (part number MB926277) broken. Just got the part in today, as well as more parts from Rock Auto! I should finish my door and continue on my suspension. So far, I got my front almost done (upper and lower control arms, brakes, hubs, one axle, tie rod ends). All that's left is to replace the sway bar end links. One is completely shot. Might as well do both. Hopefully, I'll get back to my buddy's shop to work on my car Monday.
