ok...its actually on my 2000 intrepid r/t, but i figured that shouldnt matter. Occassionally on start up, the speedo will jump up to about 70mph, and the motor starts to sound like it is choking. Ass soon as I go into Drive on the tranny, the speed goes to 0 and acts normal again. I've also noticed the it seems to go into a limp mode like our 2g's when this happens (tranny staying in 2nd). What could be causing this??? PLEASE HELP.

You have a whacky input or output speed sensor, or transaxle electronics. Beyond that, i can't help you.
