#136525, "Needed for a rebuild?"

Ok, so there seems to be many rebuild kits on the market and it seems they vary in parts included... So for my build I plan on buying forged pistons/ rods, rings, cometic headgasket, and arp head studs. Other than that the kit will be oem, so can anyone tell me everything left needed for a full rebuild?

if you buy your pistons new they come with rings.

and when you say full rebuild are you just talking about the bottom or the bottom and the head

Well, I plan on getting a new oil and water pump, timing belt, springs, retainers, valves. So I guess that leaves Mainly all the seals and gaskets involved (I dont know all of these)... ? Is there anything I havent listed that should be a must with a new engine?

Mopar makes a upper and lower gasket kit. Thats all you need to assemble a long block!

PNs are in CAPs.

Cool, Are ARP main bolts necessary for a turbo build?.. I thought that since the 420a had a strong 2 piece design with a ton of bolts, that the oem bolts could handle alot of power Do you know the limits of the stock bolts?).

Im still running stock bolts on the lower half of the motor. Approx 400hp and no issues so they can take a lot of abuse.

I would go with a MLS head gasket

The only one on here that NEEDS ARP mains is Tim "the Toolman" Klein. But that's only because of his obsessive compulsive disorder to retain all that is ARP.

Other than that, no need.
