looking at a new clutch. I was wondering what the difference was between a modular and nonmodular clutch. I have a 98 RS, what should I get?

if you look in the MT section ( http://forums.2gnt.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=34 ) you should be able to find a bunch of info. but basically a modular clutch has the flywheel rivited to the pressure plate and uses a flex plate. a non modular has no flexplate, and the pressure plate/disc/flywheel are all seperate.

a modular clutch is a clutch that has the pressure plate rivoted to the flywheel with the disk between the two. When you replace this type of clutch, you have to replace the flywheel, the disk, and the pressure plate. A non-modular clutch has the pressure plate bolted to the flywheel so you can just replace the clutch disk when it wears out (much cheaper).
