Can someone get me present axle seal part number. I am visiting family and I have one leaking. I have an extra seal, but that is a 5 hour drive away. I know the part number changed, and I think that the Dodge part number is the most recent Mitsu part number. I bought the seals from a Dodge dealer and they had a Mitsu part number. I am going to try and find a local dealer with one and install it here. It would probably be easier that constantly checking the level and making sure it doesn't all leak out.

Are the seals on the passenger side of the tranny the same as the drivers side? I believe that they are, but I am not positive. Could someone help me out here?

Well, both sides are the same part as I suspected. Also I found the part at Napa. They were able to cross reference the dealer part number to their own part number. I will post Napa's part number for the seal later. Napa's seal was also $2.00 cheaper than the dealer.

I got the seal from Napa in Belvidere, IL. The Napa part number is:
15750
I had them get this number by cross referencing the Mitsubishi/Dodge Part number:
M04761107, and they may have only used 4761107
The seal was only $6.20. I am not convinced of the quality of the seal however. I think I may still have a small leak. I have the M04797334 seal at home in Indiana, and I am going to install it when I get back home. But for anyone needing a seal Napa does carry them.

Mitsu/Mopar/New Venture revised the seal design. The part number you referenced is the old design seal. The new ones are much, much nicer.
