I am going to be installing a new transmission and clutch in to my 98 GS in about 2 weeks. I am going to get a SPEC Stage 3 clutch, and I am not sure if I want to spend the extra $450 for an aluminum flywheel. How big of a difference does it make? Currently I am basically stock, I only have an intake and a piece of sh!t muffler that the jack @ss who had the car before me put on. Can anyone tell me if the aluminum flywheel is really worth it, and also if they know of anywhere I could get a cheap SPEC Stage 3 clutch and aluminum flywheel.

i would say do NOT go aftermarket the stock flywheel is best. now why i think so well because the aftermarket flywheel has an "adapter" bolted to it so it will fit on our car. Well that adapter make the entire clutch assembly a quarter of an inch too thick so when u don't have the clutch pressed the lever that moves the clutch away from the flywheel rubs against the clutch housing. now this only happens after the clutch wears a little. later "Z"
