Chatter is normal on a performance ceramic-faced clutch. Get used to it.

It will always chatter. I have noticed that after some miles are put on it, the chatter seems to decrease a little. That, and you will get used to driving it, and can pretty much drive it smoothly.

I have gotten about 1400 miles on it and it is starting to engage smoother. Thanks for the info.

Clutches don't have to chatter. If your car is built to drive on the street, use a full face clutch. A puck style clutch is prone to chatter because there is no cushion between the facings. And you don't sacrifice any torque with a full face clutch disc. Check out the product information page at www.dxdracingclutches.com
