#4743, "What auto transmission & code, comes in 1995 eclipse gs"

I bought a 2ga 1995 eclipse gs, rust & rot free completely soild clean except for the dsm paint fade in some areas.

My question, is my Engine bay label codes is worn off except for the words DSM.

Im trying to find what auto transmission came in my car.

I know a604 came in 1997-1999 gs rs came with faxx

Im looking on rockauto & autozone both places show a604 and 41TE.

autozone, carries the 41TE only.

Which one is the right one. How much is a replace engine bay label sticker, place Im going to buy is from jnztuning for this label.

It'll help me out. Oh, I've looked found nothing.

Both are correct. The A604 was the code given to the Ultradrive transmissions. 41TE refers to: 4 speed; 1 (the level of the torque converter strength); and the fact that it's transversely mounted. Interesting to note is the fact that Chrysler chose to save a couple of dollars and made an even weaker version in the 2003 Neons and PTs, the 40TE (the 0 referring to the weaker torque converter). But the PT Cruiser turbos came with the 41TE, but with several revisions, making it a great option for our cars. I've read on Allpar that the later versions of the A604 went past the 275,000 mile mark with only a solenoid replacement (and fluid and filter changes). Hope that helps.

EDIT: After posting, I realized the date of the original post. Sorry about that. Lol!
