If you've read my post is the Pits I recently had an accident due to a faulty balljointcontrol arm and I busted my axle halfshaft also.

After I replaced both, its actually shifting better than before the accident, could it be that my old worn out axle had grooves/teeth missing and my a604 was slipping.

I'm getting a Full transmission flush and fill. I bet it would run even better also.

Your CV axle missing a spline or tooth is not going to feel like a slipping atx.
