If I where to do this Auto to Manuel swap using the Neon transmission.

Which Neon model and what year would be reliable for my 1997 GS. I've told a few people about this, DSM using an Neon Mtx they thought it was cool. I think people would buy neons over Dsm's if everyone knew about how stronger/ and better gears it has.

the gears are not stronger,and the tranny itself is no better. Now if your talking about the SOHC neon with the 3.55 taller gears well...

Only do it if you have the torque to back it up. It will make your car SLOWER if you dont.
