Does any have any tips for a turbocharged RS, Star Stage 2, running 4lbs of boost? It is an automatic, any tips from launch to racing heads up would be appreciated.

I am going turbo soon, and I am automatic as well. Im curious, why did you go with the star kit? That is usually the wrong way to go with an automatic. We need the turbo to spool quicker - a Super16G (HRC) would spool a bit faster than the star kit. Thats why I am going with the HRC kit.....are you just looking for more high end power?
As far as launching, I'm wodnering the same thing. Brake torqueing seems as if it is bad on the car, and I'm going to baby my tranny...cause I don't want ant problems with it. Im just wanting a fun fast street car, nothing crazy. I doubt I'll even race from the light often.

at 4 lbs my tires will break loose at the top of first. i'm not sure if it'll happen in an auto, but it isn't really preventable unless you aren't flooring it or you have awesome tires or a really good suspension setup....basically don't bog your engine and don't peel into first either (neutral drop for you i guess)...the last neutral drop i saw parts started flying out onto the track...rough nite.

Do NOT nuetral drop. ever. That is the worst possible thing you can do to your transmission. If anything, brake torque, but do not nuetral drop....ugh it makes me cringe thinking about it. I tried it once, the sound I heard was far from good....:-\

neutral drop yucky, what I do, is rev it really high in neutral, let off the gas, shift to D, and then slam the gas before the rps drop, or power brake, I dunno if the neutral thing even works, just sounds cool lol

Get a torque converter which I don't think you want to buy.. so just do this at a light drop it in 1st then punch it, when you hit 35 take your foot off the gas and put it in 2nd when you hit 50 put it in D.
