#5708, "11's @ 18ish lbs of boost"

Went to the track probably for the last time this year and finally pulled an eleven out. I put the avenger rear springs on and i definetly felt a difference. My 60' went down about a tenth and i recover between shifts MUCH better. This was at 18 lbs of boost creeping up near 20 at the redline. I also lowered my air pressure to 9 lbs and increased my 2step to 5200 with 4 degrees of timing pulled. I dont really know how much boost i was building at the starting line because well honestly, I didnt look. All i know is when i let of the clutch it pulled and pulled f*ing hard.

Yeah I'm glad I came out. I didn't think you would actually come over here and run. But yeah your car looked damn good going down the track, especially when all the rednecks were like "holy shit". Actually I will post the link to the video soon.

I have a 2005 neon 3.55 tranny with a quaife. The good ole stock driveshafts are still holding up too. YAY!!! Slicks are 26 x 10 Mickey Thompson on weld wheels at 9psi.

Alright here is the link. You can hear me and my friends in the background at the end when he ran the 11.8, it's pretty funny.

When I talked to him before his second run where he ran the 11.8, he said that he had ran a 12.2 previously at another track and then the first pass of that night he had posted a 12.2. So I was thinking thats about as good as you could get on 18 psi seeing that he was consistent with the times. Should have realized that 117mph trap speeds are high 11's. Then when he busted a 11.8, I almost fell off the bleachers. Before they showed the time I knew it was low because he launched flawlessly and then shot down the track. Also he said when he was running 18psi with street tires, he was only getting mid 13's. He said those slicks helped out alot.

Well fuck yea! I am going to go with a set of Nitto NT-01 tires next spring. They are almost practictly a slick, but are a legal street tire as well.

Well the Nitto tires are better than street tires but they in no way compare to TRUE slciks. Also Nt01 are road race tires not drag radials. I used a set of 225/55 15 bfgoodrich drag radials before i had slicks and they would not even hold in second gear with 18psi. The price of slicks are practically the same price as radials and also slicks are less likely to wheel hop than radials. If you have the money to have an extra set of wheels i would highly recommend getting slicks not radials.

The NT 01's are designed to be used as a drag radial as well. They are manufactured so you can shae the tread off (2/32) and run with no tread. ''Very nice times
