This past Friday was a nice night for racing, and I actually accomplished something.
I don't know how the car did it (it certainly wasn't me!) but without any megasquirt tuning (still haven't had a chance to really look at the software, I'm getting there) so it's running on the stock computer, and with me bogging the launch (2.30 60') on a 15.58 run the car hit 91.60 mph (and I beat a poorly launched mustang 5.0 as well during the run).
Previous best mph was 91.47, and I also had a 91.50 during the night too.
I guess it's just the cams and the cooler air. I have all of October to run more races at the track. Once this thing is tuned, and once I can bump the rev limiter to 8000 rpms (I've got the valve springs and retainers for it), I think there will be significant improvements.

Looking good, Todd! Gotta love that cooler air . Hoping to get up there for Import Wars. The shifter's acting up right now (can't no lift shift) but I'm checking the mounts tonight. Hope to see you then.

Yup, no boost, maybe not even 85% of 1 ATM, who knows...
and I'm still on the stock tranny, stock clutch that came with the car 8 years ago, and at least 400 runs on the car (must be more than that by now) and it is all still holding up fine
