I still cannot get my launch down, but I hit 13.78 @ 106.89 with a 2.4 60'. That was at ~18psi with SFMU still. The boost may have hit 20psi in 4th, but I think it was lower. I was just happy to hit a 13. I've been to the track maybe 15 times in the last 2 years with hopes of 13s and always disapointed myself. MS goes in soon, and 12's will be the new goal. I'm sure right now if I could drive it right, it would be a mid to low 13 with a good 60' @ 20psi.

Good time! I did a 13.5@ 108 with a 2.2 60ft time, at 18 psi, so you got more in it for sure. I figured out that if i ran some slicks, and could launch a 1.7 or 1.8 60ft time, that would yield a high 12 in the 1/4. I did a pull on the highway with a buddy that has a 1st gen AWD, he ran a 12.6 at the track, and we were dead even Its all about the 60ft time..

Have you had your car tuned properly yet?

Last year on 14psi I was in the mid 13's.

Nice job. 2.4 You will easily bring down. What are you running for tire set-up/pressure?

Yea, still rich. I don't mess with the tires, I'm not totally sure that lowering pressure on FWD tires would yeild a difference, point me in the right direction if it does. The tires are just street tires, nitto neo gen, 215/45/17 @ 45psi. Thanks everyone for the congrats! I was actually really happy.

Oh boy. 45's @45. Tough as nails. The reason you drop your pressure is to allow the sidewall to take some of the torque. With 45's you don't get much sidewall . I would still try dropping the pressure (45 is really high for launch). Put it down to 16 and try that. It may have to go lower or higher depending on a lot (launch technique, conditions etc.). But yeah 45's are tough. Did you consider putting some 16 swirlies on and lowering the pressure?

Also, I'm sure that you probably researched launch techniques (of which there are many). But just to make sure, the one technique that does not seem to work with our cars is the dump and go . You gotta get it moving first before putting power to the FWD.

You will drop into the low 13's if you can get a bit more out of your launch. Like someone said in the thread "it's all about the launch"

Get a 2.0 or better 60ft and i am sure you will be in the high 12's. Good job, get it tuned a little and show us a 12sec 2gnt. I am hoping for 12's and should get it, if i can keep my car running for more then a month.

I ran at the track with my Toyo's, and lowing the tire pressure didnt really do crap..the sidewall is so short, it doesnt help much at all..slicks are the answer! Just dont snap your axles.. I think if more people on here had a really good, properly set up car for drag racing(slicks, axles, LSD, suspension, strong clutch), we would be seeing many more times into the 12's..Plenty of us are making the power for it easy..
