In a 99rs elcipse 5speed whats the best rpm to launch at and what are the best rpms to shift in each gear?

If you're going for all-out racing, launch at 3500 or so, depending on your tires' grip, and slip your clutch trying to maximize power to the ground while maintaining traction. It's a real art to accomplish the best launch possible. Many here recommend a slight chirp at the launch rather than a bog or a wheel-hopping nightmare.

After that, just try and shift at redline for the most part.

I heard to shift at reline in first and a different rpms in the other gears.Then i also heard from a guy that said he got faster times shifting before redline

Yes, always shift at redline.

I guess I was just referring to the launch in my preface.

Shift 1st at 7k and then the rest at 7150 to 7200 right before the redline hits you.

my car is bone stock, with 159k miles, but when i do it it's redline 1 and 2, and 6500 for the rest
