#2356, "Hello Everyone (Build Log)"

So I'm new to the 420a platform, but this site has been excellent for research. Lots of plans for mine, but I have to restore some things on it first. The wiring at the battery looks like someone had no clue what they were doing. The interior is a wreck (black and tan, the tan has seen way better days).

I've been to the junkyard, and I ripped an entire grey interior out of a 95 Eclipse. It needs a little work, but will look way better than the tan (I mean, the tan driver's seat says "blond e" on the headrest.

It did come with some nice 17" black wheels. They need a good paint job. I plan on doing that next week. I'll take pics and post about that project. I also need to get a few more parts in from Amazon for my stereo system. I'm huge into music and the stock speakers leave a little to be desired. I plan on putting the subs where the rear seats currently reside. I'm hoping that the amps will be comfortable there, too, and I'll basically have a full trunk all the way to the front seats. We'll see.

Here is the stereo system I am installing:

I am going to the junkyard Saturday. We have an LKQ Pick-Your-Part, which is where I got the interior. I am planning on getting the following, but after even more research I may find out there are better options:
2.4 short block
Pistons and Rods / Crankshaft / Oil Pump / Water Pump from an SRT4 if I can find one.
420a head
3g rear suspension
rear disc brake conversion parts

Also some parts for an eventual turbo kit:
93-99 Jeep 4.0 V6 Throttle Body
Nissan 240sx - Garrett GT28r ball bearing turbo, or something else that might be laying around out there, plus an intercooler and any other turbo kit parts I might find.

This build will probably take a couple of years. I realize I will need several supporting parts, but probably not ones that I will find in a junkyard. I'd like to eventually make 700-800 HP, but I haven't yet found where we can get a crankshaft (or a tranny, for that matter) that will support that much power. So I will just stay around 300-400 HP and go to the dark side (2g GSX) to build a 9-sec car and use my 2gnt as my fun daily driver.

I'll get my blog up and running so I can post pics and details without making my posts here unduly long.
