As far as metal on metal and that's how it works, metal to metal contact on gear teeth that are designed for that contact is one thing. Metal to metal frictional contact on a gear face where it was not designed for it is another entirely. I am not saying it does not work, i am simply saying that there are better, safer, more efficient alternatives in the works for similar if not better pricing than the PG. The designer isn't going to be willing to compete with your SID as far as price goes, so you don't have that to worry about.

..and yes, i have been inside the NV-T350 on many occasions, for what it is worth.
