The way we are doing it is to use a normaly closed relay to interupt power to the "Gauges" fuse on the fuse block by your left foot. This is where the ETAS-ECU gets its power supply from. The GReddy Turbo Timers have a grey wire that gives a ground output while counting down. Use this wire to trigger the relay.
Unplug the gauges fuse and plug in an in-line fuse holder that runs to #30 on the relay. Then run a wire from #87A on the relay back to the the the where the factory fuse was. Jump a wire from # 30 on the relay to #85 on the relay. Then run a wire from #86 on the relay to the grey wire on the GReddy Turbo Timer.
Thats it. No pulling out the radio, no cutting wires in the dash. Best of all your cooling fan still runs while the timer is counting down. All the other methods I have seen don't allow the fan to run, including the way HKS recommends to do it. I have no idea if this is applicable to HKS TT's. We sell pre-made harnesses for $20, but it is so easy you might as well do it your self.

If your car has an aftermarket alarm system it gets even easier. Look at the wiring coming off of the ignition switch. you will usually notice one wire that has been tapped into. Confirm that it is the ignition wire with a test light. You will need to remove this added-on alarm signal wire from the ignition wire, and instead tap it into the accessory wire (blue wire). Use a test light to locate the accessory wire. This will allow the alarm to set and the doors to lock & unlock with the ignition key but not the turbo timer. The alarm now thinks the car is off when the accessory circut goes dead.
Everyone that has had a turbo timer installed by wiring directly instead of using a vehicle specific harness check to be sure that your fan (IGN 2) is working while the timer is counting down. The whole point is to let the motor cool down. Too many honda disco shops are hacking things wrong.
