#56890, "Running 13-14vac..."

My boost/vac gauge is reading 13-14 vac at idle (car is warm, and has been running), I recently pulled out my boost guage from the pillar pod to notice that I had a kink in my line right behind the guage. I fixed the problem, replacing the ferral?* and I screwed it back onto gauge. I checked the entire line for kinks and Im ok there.

When I turn my car off the guage doesnt sit directly in the little square (zero) it sits at the top line...(still understand me?) when I took it out I was looking at it..and it can fall just to the 1 psi..uhm could it be guage malfunction, or should I check compression?
any comments highly appreciated!
