#378, "RE: fuel and FMU on 1995" In response to In response to 0
To replace your stock FPR so you dont have to run a vacuum line all the way from your engine bay to your FPR. Also allows for better tuning under higher boost levels. The Vortech is a 12:1 unit, so it adds 12psi for every 1psi of positive manifold pressure. This is on top of the stock fuel pressure. So, on stock injectors you're pushing something like 115psi of fuel pressure. So, when/if you get bigger injectors, the FMU will still add that 12:1 ratio and cause you to run extremely extremely rich. So, get an adjustable FPR, bigger injectors and a S-AFC to run the injectors and trim down the fuel. There, I'm done. *breathes now*
