Let me give you a short run down. I boosted my car shortly after i got it. always had issues with WOT boost runs. it would "spit and sputter" immediately under wot, then after a few seconds if i was brave enough to keep into it, it would boost hard and strong. And occasionally after it boosted good it would spit and sputter again at higher rpms. got sick of it and sold my motor and turbo setup to my buddy. heres the kicker i have a 99 eclipse and he has a 95 talon. dropped the motor and everything into his car. motor boosts perfect. WHATS THE DEAL!? to make a long story short. i ended up getting my motor and setup back. heres what im running.
walbro 255, vortech 12:1 fmu, missing link, stock injectors/fuel rail, t3/t4 turbo, turbonetics 38mm external wg set at 10psi.
get everything back into my eclipse after a complete rebuild of the bottom end of the motor and still have boost iussues. i read on here that 7psi is pretty much the max for the stock fuel injectors and anything over you may run into lean conditions. is there any difference between the 95 talon injectors vs my 99 eclipse injectors? or is the problem that the fmu is mounted at the rear of my car vs. the front of the talon? ( fuel line differences)i would really appreciate it if someone could help me figure this out cause im not givin up!
