...but like I said, I've changed ISPs and the pictures unfortunately don't show up on that thread anymore. Basically, I used the countersink because I don't have a drill press big enough and I didn't want to get one that was big enought. ok ok, I wanted to get one but my wife would have killed me if I got the one I wanted. I'll post the missing pictures and a brief description here so you might have a better idea about what I was sayin in that old thread.
Here's a side shot. I spent a while setting it up so the angle would be just right.
I'm lining up to drill a runner right here. Notice the marks on the board, and the "dowel" bits I referred to in the other thread.
This one shows the top platform off so I could drill the pilot hole. Notice that I already started the cut with the countersink bit while the rig was assembled. It would go far enough in so that I knew where the hole would be centered, but it just wouldn't go in all the way without drilling a pilot hole.
This one is a closeup of the pilot hole that I had to drill.
The countersink would go all the way through after getting the pilot drilled.
Get all the bosses in there and stick the rail on it....
