#3214, "what did i break now?" Jul-11-04 05:01 PM by Pyroman415
I just did a timing belt, head gasket, spark plugs, oil and filter, and water pump to my 98 gst. I started it up and it ran good but the idle was kinda low. I adjusted the throttle cable and it ran fine. I got it out on to the main road and got on it alittle bit (just enough to get the turbo nicely spooled) and then it stalled on me. It wouldnt start back up. It cranks but shows no sign of turning over. I was able to coast into a neighbor hood and had it towed home. I was thinking it was something in the fuel system, ignition or the camshaft position sensor. When I took of the camshaft pos. sensor I just bolted it back on, was I supposed to put it back on a special way? Im quite sure the timing is correct, I checked it several times. Any ideas of what to check? I know i have too much oil in it (about 5 quarts cause my friends an idiot), would that have anything to do with it? I also took off the battery cable to reset the ECU. Any help is appreciated. -brian
