The ports are ported and polished, all casting flash is removed and the shape remains the same All street ports are smoothed, not reshaped. Intake ports are left with a 60-80 grit finish for fuel atomization (polishing these ports leads to fuel puddles), the exhaust ports are 120grit. There is no “polish” on street ports or even race ports with the exception of the exhaust side being 500-600 grit finish. Run your fingers in there, smooth.





I assure you the entire intake and exhaust ports have been redone and if you’d like I can send before pictures of what the port looked like before the job started compared to a head I have here which was just redone with no porting at all. The difference is night and day and I’m sure you’ll notice the difference when the head is on the car. We’ve done quite a few ported heads, but never have we sent out a street port and the few we have done were for engine builds here. Most have been race ported which are much different in technique when it comes to port shape and finish.
