#90173, "urgent daily driver fix for broke college kid"
below 3000 rpm or so in my 95 auto talon esi i get almost no acceleration whatsoever. it feels as if the engine is running on two cylinders and sounds like that too. but above 3000 it runs as smoothely as it could. it does this more with the ac turned on and starting out in reverse can make my revs drop to around 200 for a second or so.
my car was already slow enough but just sporty enough to enjoy it a bit cause it's comfortable and right now i don't have the funds for a new car yet. i drive about 50-75 miles a day and my car is a necessity. i've talked to lots of people and they all list simple solutions like spark plugs, wires, cat. converter, injectors, fuel filter, fuel pump, general lack of compression from worn cylinders etc. but i don't have the money for a full tune up and won't for a couple weeks, so i need more specific help for free. if any solutions are below around 50 bucks i'll get on it tomorrow.
sorry for the rant, long day trying to fix my passenger window that hangs up and hits against the inside of the door when you try to roll it up. that and it's love for a quart of oil each week or so is about to drive me crazy.
