The 2.4L ECU predetermines the redline, with that said if you use the Talon ECU the redline(better called the fuel cut) is 7200, but the engine cannot safely run over 6400rpms. It can, though, by removing the crank balance shafts. The block itself is only about 20lbs heavier (I don't remember anymore for sure) and 1" taller with all the other dimensions the same. It could work but the Motor mounts would have to be changed. That I would consider the BEST swap. With our Head the shafts removed and 7200rpms redline I also think 170HP is possible, the torque would be adifferent story altogether as our intake mannies are designed for higher rpm HP instead of low rpms torque. Your plain Vanilla 2.4L is 167lbs at 4200. The 167lbs of torque is partially developed throught the Manifold design. So we would lose some of that 167lbs, probably down to 155lbs, or so, but our HP would be high, and 3rd gear chirps would be easy.
