I just ordered the software from http://www.charm.net/~mchaney/homedyno/homedyno.htm You hook up an inductive pickup from a timing gun to a spark plug wire, and record the sound the pulses make. Then transfer the sound to your computer and the software will plot your hp and torque. You enter various parameters into the software. Well I did it this weekend, and with a K&N filter and GS-t exhaust I had 120 hp at the wheels and 116 torque. So that seems fairly accurate. I'm thinking of ordering an inductive pickup instead of using my timing gun everytime. But somewhere on the web page it says you can just tap into the ecu to record the sound from the spark firing. Does anyone know which wire I would use for this? Or anything I could connect to to get this reading? If not, an inductive pickup is only like 10 bucks, so i'll just order one. Thanks.
