I would say go with a gap of .035" and increase from there, depending upon ignition set up.

A weird note on plug gap. My neon says gap the plugs at .035". My Eclipse manual say .048" and with my current ignition set up I'm running .060"+ I wonder why the difference in suggested plug gap in stock form?
