After sitting dead for well over 2 years she fired up! It actually started a lot sooner than I expected, I was shocked really. I was expecting for it to be cranking and cranking an cranking and wheeze into life, but after only about 1 second she roared into life and everywhere PB Blaster was on the exhaust manifold started smoking... pretty much the whole thing!
I need a replacement front section of exhaust though, it's leaking bad out of the flex section... and another alternator belt, the one that the parts store sold me was too short, even with the alternator at the shortest distance.
The idle is a little lopy, but the timing is about 1/2 tooth off due to the machining, could that be it?
I'm actually surprised I don't have a CEL for not having a CAT or an EGR hooked up... I'll give it time though. Funny thing is I started it without an alternator belt and didn't get a light for that either.
I can't wait to finish fixing this car to get another 2GNT back on the street!
