Yes you do have to pull the axles. You have to remove them from the hubs, then pull them out of the tranny. It might take a lil to get them oout of the tranny, I used a pry bar. Also remember, there maybe a mess when you pull the axles, so be prepared.

Just take your time so you soak in what youve done and can remember how to put it back in. Also since youve never done this, LABEL EVERYTHING!!! Even the car itself
