I have a snap on spark tester that where you pull the wire, put the tester in the end of the wire and clip it to a grounded bolt, and yes i tried that and there is no spark to the plugs, let alone coming out the coil, but THERE is 12v to the coil while cranking.

Now, I will say, I do get ONE spark out of the coil it seems when the crank hits the #1 position for the crank sensor...thats it though.
