relays are the direction here as matt said. The Scanner only reads what the PCM tells it to. IF the PCM sends a ground to thge ASD coil. as long as the coil shows the correct resistance the PCM thinks the ASD is clicking over. As matt pointed out, if the contacts of the relay are flashed over, they will be able to pass voltage but not support any amperage.

Remember, that scanner is a tool, not an answer. And btw go get the latest updates. The new carts are programmable by the dealer. No more swapping out chip sets.
