#264, "RE: Tranny fluid change!!!!!" In response to In response to 0
Auto 15k Fluid and filter.
Manuals 30k Because it''s basicaly motor oil(which is actually what is used in a lot of manual trannies) I know what they say about lasting a lilfetime. I don't but it. If you look at their maintanance schedule for police and taxi vehicles. They sai change it every 30k. I think this schedule if far more realistic for every car on the road that isn't driven by grandpa. I'm coming up on my 30k and I'm switching to BG Syncroshift. And will be changing every 30k.
But it's an easy change There is a drain plug. But don't just go unbolting bolts make sure you have the right one. Then lower the car down with the wheels turned full left and fill trans until fluid is at the bottom of the fill hole. Onc eit starts to over flow you are done.
