Sounds like it's the cam seals, was there oil on the cam gears? If so, that's what was slinging it onto the hood. Easiest way to take out the seals is to just take the cap off and remove them, then reinstall the caps and then tap in the seals. Might want to replace idler and tensioner bearings along with tensioner, and front main seal too while your in there if there's a lot of miles on the motor. Not sure about lifting from the exhaust mani though. Anyone else?
