#96, "Neon manual trans in an Eclipse"

Would the Neon trans bolt right up? Does it matter if it comes from a sohc or a dohc? I know that the Neons have taller gears, but how tall are they. Will acceleration be noticably slower? Also, do the sohc and dohc have same ratios? The reason I'm asking is that I have a bad input shaft bearing. It's been bad since I bought the car, and I don't see it lasting more than 10k more miles. Neon trans seem like they are alot easier to come by than Eclipse trans's. Does anyone know where I might be able to find an Eclipse trans.
