You've lost a signifigant amount of clutch fluid. More than likely, your master cylinder is leaking down the inside of your firewall, under the dash. Grab a flashlight and look up under the dash behind the gauge cluster (up from the pedals). If you see a stain on the carpet, this is the tell-tale sign of this issue.

Rebuilt master cylinder from Napa is about $30 tops or you can buy a rebuild kit for under $20. Takes about an hour to swap it out, plus time bleeding the system.
