this is the way i do it.

park your car on a flat/leveled place

disconnect battery cables

undo the battery tie/holder bolts

take out the battery

take out the battery tray, its 4 10mm bolts i think

reach down from that opening

take out the rubber plug (just pull it out)

check the fluid level by putting your finger in it, if it comes out oily then the fluid level is fine. but If it comes out dry then you need to put some more fluid in.

I've also heard ppl doing it by removing the passenger side wheel and taking off the engine splash guard. I think by doing that it'll give you access to the rubber plug.
